Collection: Semi Stainless

Semi-stainless steels such as SLD and SKD are tool steels with enough chromium to slow rust right down, but not quite enough to be fully stainless. They take a carbon-like edge, hold it well, and need much less care than carbon steel. Just wipe and dry.

Sanjo makers like Yoshikane and Nihei are known for them. A great middle path between carbon and stainless.
