Collection: Funayuki Knife-Multipurpose for Fish
The Funayuki knife is a traditional Japanese multipurpose knife originally designed for use on fishing boats. Its blade is slightly thinner than a Deba knife but thicker than a Yanagiba, making it suitable for cutting meat, small fish, and vegetables—much like a Santoku. It represents a perfect balance between the Deba and Yanagiba knives and is also well-suited for breaking down poultry. However, it is not recommended for cutting through fish bones.
