DeSakai Momotaro represents the culmination of blacksmith Eric Chevallier's dedication to his craft. Eric originally from France  spent nearly five years apprenticing under the 22nd generation master knife-maker Sasuke in Sakai, Japan, Eric gained invaluable expertise and recognition within the esteemed knife-making community of Japan. In 2017, fueled by his refined skills and unwavering passion for tradition, Eric established the DeSakai brand. He founded Forge De Sakai, a workshop dedicated to upholding time-honored techniques, meticulously crafting each product to embody the essence of Japanese craftsmanship.
