Toyama

Shuji Toyama is one of Sanjo's most respected blacksmiths. Born in 1939 and still active, he makes every knife alone from start to finish, and he trained Shinichi Watanabe, who continues his approach today. His Noborikoi ("rising carp") line in Blue steel is known for excellent heat treatment and a sturdy spine that tapers beautifully to the tip.
