In 2010, master sharpener Makoto Tadokoro, with over 30 years of sharpening experience, founded Tadokoro Hamono in Tosa, Kochi, and launched his own brand, Marushin.
Starting his career at 16, Makoto Tadokoro honed his skills over 15 years of training with the legendary sharpener Morihiro-San in Sakai, Osaka. This depth of experience is reflected in Marushin's exceptional quality and craftsmanship.
These Marushin's Shirogami Knives are forged by master Satoshi Nakagawa and sharpened by Makoto Tadokoro, who applies his distinctive 30-step grinding and sharpening process.
