Masakage knives are renowned among Japanese cutlery enthusiasts for their exceptional craftsmanship and unique design. Handcrafted in Takefu Knife Village, each knife features premium materials like Blue Super or VG10 steel cores, enhancing sharpness and durability. Since 2007, Masakage has focused on delivering Japan’s finest handmade knives, crafted by master blacksmiths and hand-sharpened by Takayuki Shibata, a renown Japanese sharpener.
A standout model, the Masakage Yuki by Yoshimi Kato, combines a white2 steel core with stainless cladding for excellent edge retention. Yuki, which means 'snow' in Japanese, refers to the frosty appearance of the “nashiji” (pear skin) finish.
